Yogi government will rent vacant houses in cities, plans to increase income along with meeting people’s needs

The Yogi Adityanath government is going to start the facility of giving houses on rent to the urban needy. This will not only fulfill the needs of the people, but also increase the income of the government. This facility will be given under the Affordable Rental Housing Complex scheme. Earlier there was a proposal to get a new one built, but in view of the paucity of land, it has now been decided to give small houses of various schemes lying vacant for years.

Will run for 25 years on rent

It is very expensive to get hotels or dharamshalas in the cities for small-time workers, especially factory workers, students studying or those who come from non-districts to work for a few months. Keeping in view the problems of such people, Affordable Rental Housing Complex scheme has been prepared under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Urban. Local Government Director Neha Sharma has sent a letter to the civic bodies seeking details of the houses of various schemes lying vacant for years.

… then you can earn from flats also

About 12 thousand small and big flats of Development Authority and Housing Development Council are lying vacant in urban areas. The maximum number of flats in Lucknow are said to be around 3200 vacant. These flats are not being sold due to high cost or various other reasons. There can also be a suggestion that income can be increased by offering these flats on rent like small houses, after getting a buyer it can be repaired and sold.
