The International Cricket Council i.e. ICC has made a big announcement regarding the final of ICC World Test Championship 2023. The date for the final of the second edition of the World Test Championship, called the World Cup of Test Cricket, has been fixed. The ICC itself has announced this on Wednesday, February 8. The final of the tournament will be played in England from June 7 to June 11.

The ICC had already confirmed that the final of the tournament would be played in England this time too. However, this time also the ICC has not been able to organize the title match of the World Test Championship at the historic Lord’s Cricket Ground in London. The final of the World Test Championship 2023 will be played at the Oval ground in London.

The match was played in June 2021 at the Rose Bowl in Southampton. However, this time the New Zealand team is not far away in the final race. The ICC has also informed that although 5 days will be available for the final of the World Test Championship, which is from June 7 to 11, but the match can be played on the 12th day as well, as there will be a reserve day. If the match gets rained out in 90 overs or one day play then surely another day will be available to decide the result of the match.

Finalists not decided

The final will be between the top two teams in the WTC points table and Australia are currently at the top of the nine-team points table with a decent win percentage of 75.56. It is followed by India, which has 58.93 percent win points in its account. Both the teams will face each other in a four-match Test series starting from February 9 in Nagpur and the finalists will be decided after the series.
