Within a week, Akhilesh Yadav changed the national executive of SP, five new national secretaries including Omprakash Singh, Rambaksh out

Within a week, Akhilesh Yadav has changed the national executive of the Samajwadi Party. On January 29, a 63-member executive was announced, making Shivpal Yadav and Swami Prasad Maurya the national general secretaries. A few hours later, the number of executive committee was increased to 64 by making former MP Salim Iqbal Sherwani the national general secretary. Five new national secretaries have been included in the new list. A national secretary has been removed. With this, there are now 68 members in the National Executive.

Rambux Verma left out of the list

In the previous list, the name of Rambaksh Verma, who was made the national secretary, has been removed. Ramvaksh Verma has been a member of Lok Sabha twice and Rajya Sabha twice from BJP. Went to SP in the hope of son Alok Verma’s ticket but when he did not get it, he joined BSP this time. Alok was the BSP candidate from Bhojpur assembly seat in Farrakhabad and suffered a crushing defeat.

Five new national secretaries including Omprakash Singh

Five new people including Omprakash Singh, MLA from Ghazipur’s Jamania seat, have been made national secretaries by including them in the executive. Omprakash Singh had expressed his displeasure through a tweet over his name not being in the previous list. Om Prakash Singh has been involved in the National Executive even during the time of Mulayam Singh Yadav. During the last Assembly and Lok Sabha elections, the SP had made a clean sweep in Ghazipur even in the wave of BJP. Omprakash Singh is also considered to have an important role behind this.

Omprakash Singh has been a minister in Akhilesh and Mulayam governments and is one of the veteran SP leaders in the entire Purvanchal. Omprakash is the MLA for the seventh time. Apart from Omprakash Singh, Arvind Singh Gope, Naveen Saxena, Ramprakash Chowdhary and Vinay Shankar Tiwari have been made national secretaries. Apart from this, Ramgovind Chaudhary of Ballia has been made the national secretary.

Glimpses of the next Lok Sabha elections

The glimpse of the strategy for the next Lok Sabha elections is also clearly visible in the Samajwadi Party’s executive committee of 68 people. After the President and Vice President, the most important is the National General Secretary. This time 16 people have been made national general secretaries. There is not a single Brahmin or Thakur among them. Akhilesh Yadav’s full emphasis is visible on OBCs and Dalits. A few hours before the announcement of the executive committee, Akhilesh, while calling himself a Shudra, also described the BJP as a party that considers backward people and Dalits as Shudras.

Brahmins-Thakurs have no place like before

One thing has become clear from the new executive that the Samajwadi Party will now do politics only with backward, Dalits and Muslims. The Brahmins and Thakurs have not got the place in the party which was once available during Mulayam’s time. Then in the Samajwadi Party after Mulayam Singh Yadav, the biggest names were Brahmins and Thakurs like Amar Singh, Janeshwar Mishra, Revathiraman Singh.

More emphasis on non Yadav OBC

Akhilesh has probably now realized that the votes of Brahmins and Thakurs will go to BJP only. In such a situation, SP is not going to get much benefit by focusing on them. In such a situation, SP’s focus will now be on non-Yadav OBCs as well as Dalits. If we look at the new executive, it becomes clear that the entire emphasis is on OBCs only.

Now the executive will be like this
