In view of the cold wave, the DM has extended the school holidays in Gorakhpur, Hapur and Badaun. Schools will remain closed in Badaun and Gorakhpur till January 18. While issuing the order, the DM in Hapur said that schools up to class VIII will be closed till January 20. DIOS PK Upadhyay said that schools up to class 8 will remain closed from January 17 to January 20.

This decision has been taken due to cold wave. The order will be strictly followed in the district. At the same time, in Badaun, the DM has issued an order to keep schools up to class VIII closed for two days. Apart from this, classes from class nine to 12th will be conducted. On the other hand, in view of the cold in Gorakhpur, the Meteorological Department has issued an alert. In view of the winter, the holidays of schools from 1st to 12th in Gorakhpur have been extended. According to the new order of District Magistrate Krishna Karunesh, the schools will now remain closed till January 17.

All schools will open in Varanasi from Monday

Cold wave in western UP, weather may turn again from 18th

Between January 18 and 20, there may be cloudy-rainy weather especially in western UP. The weather forecast for the next three days is that there will be dense to very dense fog in some parts of the state. In some areas, there will be no sunlight during the day.
