A case has been registered against ten unknown people for beating Moradabad businessman with belt in Padmavat Express. The businessman lodged a report on Friday after the video of the beating went viral. Earlier on Thursday night, two passengers were caught in a scuffle in Bareilly and challaned for breach of peace. Now there is a new revelation in this. SP GRP says that the businessman molested the woman in the train. This made the co-travellers agitated. The matter of raising religious slogans has not come to the fore. An inquiry has been ordered into the veracity of the entire incident.
The GRP was activated on Friday after a video of Asim Hussain, a resident of Peerzada, Moradabad, being thrashed with a belt in a train going from Delhi to Pratapgarh went viral. Although the train escort caught two passengers in the assault case on Thursday night itself, but due to non-receipt of Tahrir, both were challaned for breach of peace. Meanwhile, GRP officers took cognizance after the video of the beating went viral. On Friday late night, businessmen and other people reached the police station and filed a complaint. It was said that the passengers who had boarded the train from Hapur wanted to raise religious slogans calling him a thief.
When he refused, he was beaten with a belt. Tore the clothes and also snatched 22 hundred rupees kept in the pocket. He was pushed when the train stopped at Moradabad Outer. GRP Inspector Sudhir Kumar says that however, on the night of the incident, the escort in the train caught Satish of Rae Bareilly and Suraj of Pratapgarh in Bareilly in connection with the incident. Due to non-reporting of the incident, he was challaned for breach of peace. Now, on receiving Tahrir late on Friday night, the GRP has filed a case against eight-ten unknown people. The businessman was given medical treatment late at night. In which there have been minor injuries.
New revelation in the investigation, co-travellers got excited for molesting the girl
