Three youths raped a Dalit woman on late Saturday night near Gureh village located in Dehat Kotwali in Banda district of UP. On information, the police took the woman to the police station, where she was interrogated. The police were shocked to hear the incident of gangrape and vandalism.
According to the victim woman, she was going to her in-laws house on a bike with her husband. Three friends of the husband were found near Gureh village who stopped them. According to the woman, the husband was drunk, taking advantage of which they sent the husband to buy cigarettes from the shop. After this, two raped her, while the third failed to rape due to protest, then put a bottle of liquor in the private part. On the news of gangrape late night CO City Ambuja Trivedi reached the spot and interrogated the victim.
According to Kotwali in-charge Akhilesh Singh, the woman was sent to her in-laws house on a bike by her mother along with two youths from the village, who misbehaved with her. Police recreated the scene late night to know the reality. According to the police, there is a difference in the statements of the woman and her mother.
