When asked about Vinesh Phogat’s statement that if she opens her mouth, there will be an earthquake, the MP said, “If I open my mouth, a tsunami will come.” He also said that I am sitting here not because of anyone’s mercy but after being elected by the people.
Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh reached his residence in Bishnoharpur village late on Thursday night. On the information of his arrival, all the media personnel reached outside his house early on Friday morning. Around 12 noon, the MP’s convoy left for Nandini’s house. During this, when asked questions by the media personnel, the MP refused to say anything saying that he would hold a press conference at 4 pm. In response to a question, he said that there is no question of resignation. On reaching Nandini, once again the media persons questioned her. On this, the MP reiterated that he would speak in full in the evening press conference. The MP also clarified that he had not spoken to Home Minister Amit Shah or the PMO. He said that he would expose the ‘political conspiracy’.

Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh has said in a post on Facebook that he will hold a press conference at the wrestling training center in Nawabganj in Gonda district of the state. There is to be a press conference this evening.
CPI demands to arrest the MP
On the other hand, the workers of the Communist Party of India protested in Barabanki and demanded registration of a case on the basis of allegations against MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh. CPI leader Randhir Singh Suman said that the allegations of sexual harassment leveled by national and international players should be immediately investigated. Along with this, by registering an FIR against the MP, he should be arrested immediately. He said that due to the allegations against the MP and the President of the Wrestling Federation, the dignity of the country and the sports world has fallen at the international level. In future, it may have an impact on international sports as well. The government of UP and the Center should immediately intervene in this matter.
Wrestlers from all over the country gathered in Nandini
Wrestlers from all over the country started arriving in Nandini since yesterday to participate in the Senior National Open Racking Wrestling Tournament organized by the Wrestling Federation of India. Five mats are being installed in the indoor stadium of this three-day match starting from Saturday. By Thursday evening, female and male wrestlers from several states including Punjab, Delhi and Maharashtra reached Nandini. On the first day of the competition, the weight category wrestlers will be measured and medical will be done on Friday.
In the three-day tournament, matches will be held in men’s freestyle and Greco-Roman and women’s freestyle styles in all weight categories of wrestling. The first ten ranked wrestlers in different weight categories will be included in the top-ten ranking. Arrangements have been made to accommodate most of the wrestlers coming for the competition in various hotels and Dharamshalas in Ayodhya and Faizabad cities. In the competition, the matches of the weight categories starting in the morning will end with the medal awarding ceremony after the final round by the evening.
