Shubman Gill has created history at the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium in Hyderabad on Wednesday. He has become the youngest batsman to score a double century in ODIs. He broke the record of Ishan Kishan, who had scored a double century against Bangladesh last month. After Sachin Tendulkar, Rohit Sharma, Virender Sehwag and Ishan Kishan became the fifth batsman to score a double century. The 23-year-old struck the double in 145 balls. Gill accomplished this feat by hitting three consecutive sixes, seeing this innings of Gill, fans to former cricketers have become his fans. Opener Shubman Gill scored a maiden double century as India scored 349 for eight in the opening ODI against New Zealand on Wednesday. Gill faced 149 balls and scored 208 runs in which 19 fours and nine sixes were hit. He stayed at the crease throughout the innings but did not support him at the other end. Captain Rohit Sharma scored 34 runs in 38 balls, being the second best scorer of the innings.
