Students from all over the world have increased their trust in BHU. According to a report released by BHU on Tuesday, during the last five years, in the session 2022-23, the maximum number of 276 foreign students have enrolled in the University.

According to a report released by BHU on Tuesday, during the last five years, maximum 276 foreign students have enrolled in various courses of the university in the session 2022-23. At present, a total of 551 international students are studying in BHU. BHU reports that international students have shown interest in a variety of subjects ranging from ancient Indian knowledge and systems of medicine to modern science, humanities, arts and culture, including innovative medical studies. In the current session, 83 students have taken admission under ICCR (Indian Council for Cultural Relations) scholarship while 193 students have taken admission in the self-financed category. BHU has also initiated an annual scholarship of Rs 72,000 for international students. This scheme is for those students who are not getting any scholarship. The difference amount is given to those who get less scholarship. Apart from this, BHU has also started a ten-storey male hostel for international students. A new international women’s hostel with a seating capacity of 400 is also going to start soon.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Apart from the meetings, Sudhir Kumar Jain in his addresses has also emphasized on the development of educational, research and infrastructure in the university keeping international students in mind. BHU International Center Coordinator Prof. SVS Raju said that the center supports and guides foreign students in registration formalities during the admission process
