The stipend of the children studying below class 10 in the educational institutions of Uttar Pradesh has got stuck. The Social Welfare Department has started distribution of stipend to poor students belonging to scheduled caste and general category as well as children above class 10 in these classes. So far, the scholarship amount has been transferred to the bank accounts of 7 lakh 22 thousand children. But the Backward Classes Welfare Directorate of the state has not been able to start this process yet.
Now the departmental minister has to intervene in this indecisive situation. He has called a high level meeting of the concerned officers of the department on Monday. In fact, due to the backward class welfare directorate not being able to fix the rate of stipend to these children, the stipend has got stuck. According to the information received, the Central Government has started the Prime Minister Young Achievers Scholarship Award Scheme for Vibrant India.
Under this scheme, the amount of stipend has been increased to Rs 4,000 in the courses below class 10 of the economically backward (EBC), other backward classes (OBC) and notified and nomadic castes, while the state’s Backward Classes Directorate has given a scholarship to these children. is given a stipend at the rate of Rs.2250. Now the directorate has to decide whether to distribute the stipend at the new rate fixed by the center or at the old rate….
Churning on file since last 25 days
For the last 25 days, churning is going on on the file. But the decision is not being taken while Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is going to distribute scholarships to SC, ST, OBC and minority children in the function organized on the occasion of the inauguration of UP Day on coming 24th January.
