Team India ex-selector did The End of Kishan vs Bharat debate, told who should be Pant’s replacement

Former Team India selector MSK Prasad has put an end to the ongoing Kishan vs Bharat debate ahead of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. It has also been told that who should be the replacement of Rishabh Pant.

Rishabh Pant has been ruled out of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy due to a car accident. In such a situation, a problem has arisen for the Indian team as to which player will be in the role of wicket-keeper batsman in the four-match Test series against Australia. Although, Ishaan Kishan and KS Bharat have been selected in the team, but the debate is that which of them will be in the playing XI? Team India’s former chief selector MSK Prasad has told in very clear words which player should be played.

Before the first Test match starting in Nagpur from 9th February, Ishan Kishan vs KS Bharath debate was ended by MSK Prasad saying that KS Bharath has been traveling with the team for a long time. “Bharat was groomed to be India’s Test wicket-keeper right from the time he played for India A,” he told The Telegraph.

MSK Prasad further said about KS Bharat, “He has tried to give his best in the matches he has got and has done well overall in red-ball cricket. He is waiting for his turn.” And it looks like he will get it in the upcoming Test. As far as Ishan is concerned, he needs to wait.”

The team also has KL Rahul as the wicketkeeper but MSK Prasad has said that he will not be given a chance. He said, “To be a wicket-keeper in Test matches requires a completely different mindset. It is not just about doing it for 20 or 50 overs. You have to stand behind the stumps for a whole day or more. I think such a situation can arise only if India fails to use their opportunities. After that they can think of other options.”
