Shri Ramcharit Manas controversy is not taking the name of stopping in UP. Samajwadi Party leader Swami Prasad Maurya, surrounded by controversial statements on this, has now targeted PM Narendra Modi and RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat. Along with this, Maurya, in a challenge to CM Yogi Adityanath, demanded registration of an FIR against those sages who had announced reward for cutting their tongue, nose, head and throat.
Swami said tauntingly that ‘I had only objected to some lines of Ramcharimanas and demanded their removal. I had done this while staying within the constitutional ambit. An FIR was lodged against me because I am backward while no action was taken against the saints who had given me contract to cut off my organs.
SP leader Swami Prasad Maurya targeted Prime Minister Modi and the RSS chief in two tweets. In a tweet, he wrote- ‘Some people are trying to mislead the matter by associating it with Shriram, Hinduism and Ramcharitmanas, demanding to modify and ban some objectionable verses of Manas. Such people are against the respect of 97% of the population of women, tribals, dalits and backward people.
In another tweet, he wrote, ‘Mr. Prime Minister, at the time of elections, these women, tribals, Dalits, backward people are called Hindus. RSS chief, Bhagwat ji says that caste was created by Pandits. So why not take the initiative to remove the objectionable comments of Ramcharitra Manas, which are mean, mean, harassing, humiliating.
