Student trapped in sextortion created a drama of his kidnapping, demanded a ransom of two lakhs from his father

In Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, a student staged a drama of kidnapping himself after being caught in sextortion and called his father and demanded a ransom of Rs 2 lakh. Distressed father lodged this information in Shivkuti police station. The Shivkuti police, with the help of the Crime Branch, recovered the student from Pratapgarh within 24 hours and unearthed the forgery on Friday.

DCP Nagar Santosh Meena told that Abhishek Tiwari, son of Jyotish Kumar, resident of Ambedkar Nagar, prepares for competitive examinations by staying in Govindpur. A few days back he befriended a girl named Ankita Sharma on Facebook. During this, a video call also took place between the two. After this, he was threatened by calling that his obscene video had been made. If 42 thousand rupees are not given, the video will go viral on social media. There was a deal between the two for 30 thousand.

Troubled for money, the student himself created the story of kidnapping. On January 19, he made a WhatsApp call to his father saying that he had been abducted in a black car and kept at an isolated place. He demanded a ransom of two lakhs. Called again at 10:30 in the night threatening to kill. Student’s father Jyotish lodged a kidnapping report at Shivkuti police station. The crime branch police remained troubled throughout the night. But on Friday the student Abhishek was recovered from Pratapgarh. On being caught, the student told the whole thing.
