Route diversion of heavy vehicles will be done from February 13 on the Delhi-Lucknow National Highway for Kanwar Yatra in Amroha, UP. Heavy vehicles will also be stopped from going on Badaun-Bijnor State Highway. A plan has been prepared at the police level.
This time the festival of Mahashivaratri will be celebrated on 18 February. The local police-administration estimates that this time the number of kanwariyas will start increasing from February 13. In such a situation, the police have completed all the preparations regarding the security arrangements. Traffic on the National Highway will be made one-way and the route of heavy vehicles will be diverted. Apart from this, planning has also been done to divert the Badaun-Bijnor State Highway.
CO Arun Kumar told that the kanwariyas who bring Ganga water from Haridwar will come from Chandpur route only. Due to which the pressure of kanwariyas will increase on the highway. On the other hand, traffic will be made one-way on the National Highway for the kanwariyas carrying water from Brijghat. Heavy vehicles will be diverted from Hapur and Moradabad districts. The police-administration is preparing to divert the route from February 13. Police duty has also been imposed on the highway. Police duty will start on the highway from January 10.
Route diversion will be like this
Vehicles going in the direction of Delhi will be diverted from Moradabad and sent towards Delhi via Sambhal, Bulandshahr.
Vehicles going in the direction of Moradabad will be diverted from Hapur district to Buldshahar, Anoop city to Moradabad via Sambhal.
Vehicles going towards Bijnor towards Gajraula on Badaun-Bijnor State Highway will be diverted towards Nurpur-Bijnor via Khad Gurjar via Kuakheda, Fina.
Vehicles coming from Bijnor in the direction of Gajraula will reach Gajraula via Kuakheda, Khad Gurjar.
