A report of power theft has now been filed against Shahi Masjid Idgah located near Sri Krishna Janmabhoomi in Mathura, which is in the news all over the country due to court litigation. Along with this, a fine of three lakh rupees has also been imposed on Idgah. In this regard, Central President of Sri Krishna Janmabhoomi Mukti Nirman Trust and Sidvapeeth Mata Shakumbhari Peethadhishwar Bhriguvanshi Ashutosh Pandey had complained to Energy Minister AK Sharma and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. It was said in the complaint that there is no electricity connection in the Shahi Masjid Idgah. Electricity is being stolen there. He demanded that action should be taken in this regard.
After the complaint, the departmental team prepared its investigation report and sent it to the higher authorities. Before the arrival of the Chief Minister, soon after getting the green signal from the higher officials, police-administration, Janmabhoomi security officials along with the engineers and vigilance team of the electricity department conducted a site inspection.
After this, the matter of electricity theft came to light here. The action was kept secret so as not to spoil the atmosphere. The team completed the operation and also did its videography and photography. Its report was lodged in the electricity station late on Saturday evening.
According to XEN Vipin Kumar, in the case of Shahi Idgah episode, the concerned SDO, Regional Engineer and Vigilance has lodged the report of theft of electricity against the secretary of the committee in the electricity station. According to SE Urban Subodh Kumar Sharma, while taking action, the department has sent its report to the government and higher officials.
Preparations were being done for a week
Checking was being planned for about a week in the Shahi Idgah episode. Apart from the local officials, the police-administration had made contact with higher officials. The work picked up pace after getting the information about the Chief Minister’s arrival.
