The Governor’s Secretariat will now make separate recruitments for itself. Right now the work is being done with the help of deputation. For this, Uttar Pradesh Governor’s Secretariat and Domestic Service Manual are being prepared. Preparations are on to get it approved from the cabinet soon. It is being told that in the first phase, about 155 recruitments will be done on various posts. Later recruitment will be done on the basis of need.
no rules yet
As of now, there is no manual to keep personnel in the Governor’s Secretariat and Raj Bhavan. Due to this, work is being done by keeping personnel on deputation. While in the state, all the departments have their own rules. The Legislative Assembly and the Secretariat have their own separate rules and regulations. The Legislative Assembly makes direct recruits and the Secretariat maintains personnel through the Public Service Commission. Raj Bhavan Headquarters has prepared a draft of its service manual for the recruitment of personnel. Opinion is being taken from the departments on this. After getting consent from all, it will be approved by the cabinet.
Recruitment will be done on these posts
The designations of recruitment to the posts of Group A and B have been fixed for the Governor’s Secretariat. In Group A, Review Officer, Assistant Review Officer, Review Officer Accounts, Assistant Review Officer Accounts, Private Secretary, Programmer Grade One, Lister, Store Keeper, Computer Assistant, Receptionist, Driver Grade-Four and Anuseva will be kept. Group B will have Home Manager, Chef, Cook, Assistant, Tailor, Motor Cleaner etc. It has been argued behind making rules that work gets affected due to lack of own rules.
Employment avenues will open
After the formation of Governor’s Secretariat and Domestic Service Rules, new doors of employment will open for the youth in the state. Youth willing to work in Raj Bhavan will be able to apply for this. After the rules are made, posts will be created and it will be decided how many posts will be filled by promotion and how many will be through direct recruitment. Eligibility will also be decided for this.
