Rape with woman in Rampur, matter related to two communities, tension in the village

In Kemari police station area in Rampur, a youth from the village entered the house of a mentally weak married woman and raped her on Sunday night. Due to commotion, the villagers reached and caught hold of the accused and thrashed him badly. Due to the matter being related to two communities, tension spread in the village and people from both sides came face to face. The police have registered a case against the accused and challaned them after getting them treated. At present, the police is claiming that the situation in the village is normal.

Dozens of villagers gathered in a village of the area reached the police station and demanded action by handing over a Tahrir. During this, the villagers alleged that Ghulam Mohammad, the younger son of the village resident, entered the house of a married woman resident of the village who was mentally weak due to some work. He caught hold of the woman with a bad intention and raped her. During this, reached the spot after hearing the screams of the woman. Seeing the villagers coming towards him, the accused tried to run away from the spot, but the villagers caught him running. After this the villagers thrashed him fiercely. Later, the villagers brought the accused to the police station in an injured state and handed over the tahrir to the police. The police got the accused, who was injured by the beating of the villagers, first admitted to a private hospital for treatment. After this, on the complaint of the family members of the woman, a case was registered against the accused under relevant sections.

Police Station President Ajaypal Singh said that after getting the first aid done to the accused, he has been challaned under relevant sections. Further action is being taken. At present there is law and order in the village. Due to the matter being related to two communities, a tense situation has arisen.
