Talking about the match, Delhi had decided to bowl first after winning the toss in this match. On the basis of Sarfaraz Khan’s century, Mumbai managed to score 293 runs in the first innings. Apart from Sarfaraz, no Mumbai batsman could even touch the figure of 40 runs. Sarfaraz played an inning of 125 runs with the help of 16 fours and 4 sixes, while Pranshu Vijayaran took the maximum four wickets for Delhi.
Delhi put 369 runs on the board in their first innings and took a 76-run lead over Mumbai. Vaibhav Rawal and Captain Himmat Singh’s brilliant partnership took Delhi to this score. There was a 195-run partnership for the 5th wicket between the two players. Vaibhav Raval scored 114 runs while playing a century innings, while Himmat Singh supported him by scoring 85 runs. During this, Tushar Deshpande took four wickets for Mumbai.

Mumbai’s second innings was very disappointing. Barring skipper Ajikya Rahane (51), none of the batsmen failed to make a mark, while first-innings centurion Sarfaraz Khan also got out for a golden duck. Divij Mehra contributed significantly in destroying Mumbai’s batting. The right-arm medium pacer took 5 wickets in 13 overs for just 30 runs and turned the match towards Delhi. The Mumbai team was bundled out for 179 runs in the second innings.
