The court of Additional Sessions Judge IV AK Yadav has issued an arrest warrant against Deputy SP Anirudh Singh, who did not appear for testimony in a murder case in Jafrabad police station area of Jaunpur. The court has ordered the Superintendent of Police Chandauli to arrest the deputy SP and produce him in the court on February 17. Along with this, the court also ordered to stop the salary of Anirudh Singh till further orders. If absent on the due date, the Registrar General High Court and DGP Uttar Pradesh have also been asked to inform. Anirudh is currently posted in Mughalsarai.
Significantly, in the case of murder of police station area State vs Vikas Pratap, there is an order from the High Court for speedy disposal. The investigation of the case was done by Deputy SP Anirudh Singh. The file is going on for his cross-examination. For the last several dates, he is not coming to testify. Citing being busy in law and order duty. Due to this murder case of 2010, it is included in the list of oldest cases. The disposal of the case is getting delayed due to non-availability of the arbitrator to testify. Contempt notice and warrant were issued against him. Despite this, he did not appear.
