New strategy of central and state workers, will make old pension an election issue

In the round table Khichdi Bhoj program organized by the State Employees Joint Council on Sunday, it was decided that the old pension of central and state government employees would be made an election issue. For the restoration of old pension, a joint movement of central and state employees was announced. It was decided to support the national rally in Delhi during the monsoon session and the proposed Bharat Bandh on 19 September 2023.

Khichdi Bhoj was organized by ND Dwivedi, President of Diploma Engineers Union PWD at Sangh Bhawan located in PWD premises. The Khichdi Bhoj program organized under the chairmanship of Harikishore Tiwari, President of the State Employees Joint Council, was conducted by Council’s General Secretary Shivbaran Singh Yadav. The chief guest was Com. Shivgopal Mishra, leader of the Railways. He said that with a comprehensive strategy for the restoration of old pension, the personnel of the central and state government will launch a joint movement. This will also become an election issue.

A massive meeting was called in Delhi on January 21

Council President Harikishore Tiwari said that the year 2023 has been declared as the year of struggle by the Council for the restoration of old pension. During the banquet, the personnel of the central and state government declared a joint national and provincial movement. Under which a massive meeting will be held in Delhi on 21st January. From February 10 to February 20, an online petition, signature campaign will be launched at the central level and a campaign to send postcards to the Prime Minister, Finance Minister and Chief Minister at the provincial level. District level torch procession will be organized on 21st May and provincial rally will be organized at capital level on 21st June. Support will be given to the national rally in Delhi and the Bharat Bandh on 19 September during the monsoon session to be held in July and August.

In this meeting, the Himachal government thanked the government there for the restoration of the old pension. The speakers said that when the old pension has been restored in many states, the old pension should be restored in other states as well. The central government should immediately announce the restoration of old pension. Comrades RK Pandey, Dr. Satyendra Kumar Singh, Ramfer Pandey, Ramesh Singh, Girish Chandra Mishra, GN Singh, SP Mishra, Ramraj Dubey, JB Patel, Bharat Singh, Diwakar Rai, Amita Tripathi, Rupa Awasthi, Manoj Srivastava, Rajarshi Tripathi, Vinod Gautam etc. expressed their views.
