Mother killed for girlfriend, refused to marry, then son strangled her with belt, attacked father too

A case of taking a dreadful step has come to light from Baghpat district. The son strangled his mother to death with her belt for protesting against love marriage in Awas Vikas Colony of Baraut Nagar. When the father protested, the accused attacked him as well. When the elder son came on the noise of the victim’s father, the accused fled. The police reached the information and arrested the accused. The father filed a report naming the son.

Jitendra Solanki, a resident of Awas Vikas Colony, is a lawyer. When Jitendra Solanki returned home from morning walk on Thursday morning, he asked his younger son Rajat to pick up his mother Munesh Devi. Rajat said on this mother is sleeping. When Jitendra tried to enter the room, Rajat got into a fight with him. He saw his wife Munesh Devi lying unconscious on the bed. The noose of the belt was attached around the neck. When Jitendra raised an alarm, the elder son Parag, who was sleeping in the room above the house, also came. Rajat absconded on this.

Jitendra took Munesh to the hospital, where the doctors declared him dead. The police, who reached the information, while investigating the case, arrested the accused after a few hours. During interrogation, the accused told that he is preparing for civil service by staying in Delhi. There, he had a love affair with a girl from Delhi. Both wanted to get married, but the mother was opposing, because the girl belonged to another class. On Wednesday night too, there was an argument with the mother regarding the same matter, after which she was strangled to death with a belt. The police have also recovered the belt used in the incident on the pointers of the arrested accused Rajat.

Barot CO Yuvraj Singh says that the son accused in the murder of a woman in the city’s housing-development colony has been arrested. The incident of murder has been executed regarding love marriage.
