UP Board Exam: Students of UP board want to make their career in the field of medical more than engineering. This fact can be seen in the attitude of the students towards the subject. In the intermediate examination, which is going to start from February 16, there are twice as many students of biology as of mathematics.
A total of 27,50,913 students are registered for the intermediate examination of 2023. Of these, 4,99,484 students took Mathematics while more than double 10,84,932 took Biology. Interestingly, more than 18 times more students have chosen English as a subject than Sanskrit in class 12th. 1,25,309 children have taken Sanskrit while 23,60,332 have taken English. In Intermediate, 17,25,693 candidates have taken General Hindi and 9,54,914 have taken Hindi. 26,075 children have also taken Urdu. 169 candidates will appear in Pali and 128 in Arabic.
16 districts including Prayagraj are susceptible
Prayagraj. 16 districts, including Prayagraj, have been marked as sensitive for the UP board exams starting from February 16. Secretary Dibyakant Shukla has issued a letter on Monday to Commissioner, DM, Police Commissioner, DIG, SSP, SP, Divisional Joint Director of Education, Additional Secretary of Regional Offices and District School Inspectors regarding peaceful conduct of examinations. Prayagraj, Mathura, Baghpat, Aligarh, Mainpuri, Etah, Hardoi, Azamgarh, Ballia, Mau, Kaushambi, Chandauli, Jaunpur on the basis of re-examination conducted during previous years’ board exams due to mass copying, irregularities/ question paper going viral , Ghazipur, Deoria and Gonda have been marked as vulnerable.
Special attention will be kept on the examinations of 20 subjects Special vigilance will be taken on the examinations of 20 subjects of high school and intermediate. According to the letter issued by the Secretary, Hindi, Home Science, Mathematics, Sanskrit, Painting, Science, English and Social Science are there in High School while Hindi/General Hindi, Geography, English, Biology, Mathematics etc. are there in Inter.
Not interested in vocational courses
Students of 10th-12th did not take interest in vocational courses. In Inter, 20 in Embroidery, 24 in Dairy, 932 in Textile Design, 596 in Banking, 19 in Bee Keeping, 1189 in Health Lab, 696 in Tailoring Craft, most of the subjects have not got students. The situation is the same in high school. In 10th there are 8 children registered in Automobile, 4 in Health Care, 22 in Mobile Repairing, 93 in NCC.
Nine lakh girl students took home science in high school
There are 31,16,485 students registered for the 2023 high school examination. Of these, 22,12,756 have taken Mathematics while 8,99,445 have taken Home Science. 36,311 have opted for commerce while 67033 have opted for computer stream. There is a lot of inclination towards English than Sanskrit in high school. In class 10th, 3,33,348 children have taken Sanskrit, while 29,77,680 have taken English subject.
