Modi government’s gift to poor children of classes below 10th, increased amount of stipend

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given a gift to the children studying in classes below class 10. The amount of stipend for these children has been increased. These poor children belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Nomadic and Scheduled Castes, Minorities and Other Backward Classes will get scholarship at the rate of Rs.4000 per annum from the next academic session. At present, such children of other backward classes are getting stipend at the rate of Rs.2250, SC and general category and poor children of other classes at the rate of Rs.3000.

In fact, the Central Government has started the Prime Minister Young Achievers Scholarship Award Scheme for Vibrant India. Under this scheme, the amount of stipend has been increased to Rs 4,000 in courses below class 10 for economically backward (EBC), other backward classes (OBC) and notified and nomadic castes.

Now the stipend of Rs.3500 has been fixed for SC/ST children instead of Rs.3000, but in order to keep the rate of stipend uniform among children of all classes, the Social Welfare Department has also increased the rate of stipend for SC children to Rs.4000. Trying to get it done.

According to the information received from the sources, orders in this regard were issued from the center in April-May last year itself, but due to lack of timely decision, the concerned departments of the state government are giving increased rates to these children in the current academic session.
