Mauni Amavasya 2023: Crowds of devotees gathered at Sangam, rain of flowers from helicopter; CM Yogi congratulated

Mauni Amavasya 2023: Devotees throng Sangam Bank in Prayagraj for holy bath on Mauni Amavasya. This time due to Shani Amavasya, the importance of taking a dip in Sangam on this festival has increased. After taking a dip in the Sangam, the devotees worshiped Mother Ganga according to the rules and regulations and donated lamps. After the cold, his enthusiasm is being seen. On this occasion, flowers were showered on the devotees by helicopter.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has congratulated the saints, devotees and Kalpavasis who had come to take bath in Sangam on Mauni Amavasya. He said that proper arrangements have been made at the Sangam for the convenience and safety of the devotees. Congratulating the devotees and the people of the state on Mauni Amavasya, CM Yogi said that by the grace of Lord Bhaskar and Patit Pavani Maa Ganga, there should be communication of positivity in the whole world, everyone’s life should be full of happiness, peace and prosperity, this is my prayer.

The number of ghats in the fair area has been increased to 17 for bathing on this festival. Crowds of devotees have gathered at different places. The range of ghats has been increased to 800 metres. Tight security arrangements have been made in the entire Mela area.

Police and paramilitary personnel are keeping vigil at every point in the fair area. Water police personnel are also alert. Apart from CCTV cameras, online surveillance is also being done on the people coming and going in the fair area through body-worn cameras. Police personnel equipped with these cameras are stationed at densely crowded places in the Mela area. Officers posted in the control room are monitoring through cameras.
