Good news has come for the second time in a week for the beneficiaries of free ration. After distribution of wheat and rice for the month of December till February 3, now the ration for January has also arrived. It will be distributed from February 8 i.e. Wednesday. This time, along with wheat-rice, sugar for the last three months will also be distributed. This ration can be taken from February 8 to February 15.
According to officials, as per the instructions of the government, free distribution of food grains allotted for January under the National Food Security Act scheme and sugar allotted for Antyodaya card holders for three months has been done. Every Antyodaya card holder will get three kilos of sugar.
Even though the price of this sugar in the market is more than Rs 40 per kg, but the card holders will get three kg sugar at Rs 18 per kg i.e. Rs 54. All will be distributed from February 8 to February 15.
Preparations have been made for its distribution in Varanasi. District Supply Officer of Varanasi, Umesh Kumar Mishra told that under the National Food Security Act Scheme, wheat and rice will be given free of cost to Antyodaya card holders and eligible household card holders of the district in February and 3 kg sugar will be distributed for Rs 54 to Antyodaya card holders from 8 to 15 February. Will be done.
Antyodaya card holders will get 14 kg wheat and 21 kg rice free of cost. Along with this, three kilograms of sugar will be available on Antyodaya card for Rs 54. Eligible household card holders will get 5 kg food grains per unit. In this, 2 kg wheat and 3 kg rice will be distributed free of cost.
He also told that the facility of portability will not be available in the distribution of sugar. Means Antyodaya card holders will be able to take sugar from their original shop only. The last date of distribution is February 15 and card holders who do not receive food grains and sugar through Aadhaar authentication can receive food grains and sugar through mobile OTP verification till February 15, the last date of distribution.
