Investors show interest in Kanpur, MoU signed for investment of 5500 crores

There will be an investment of Rs 5500 crore in Kanpur. The way was cleared with the signing of MoUs by 32 investors at the Kanpur Investors Meet organized by KDA. JK Group will make the biggest investment of 1818 crores in the city.

Although 150 investors from Mumbai, Delhi and Lucknow had come to Eternity Resorts located on the Barrage-Mandhana road, the businessmen of Kanpur showed more strength. Investors showed more interest in building five and four star hotels as well as hospitals and townships. More than 50 businessmen agreed to invest after seeing the vision of 4000 crore projects presented by KDA Vice President Arvind Singh. Along with industrial plots, sought land to build hospitals and hotels. New Kanpur City, to be developed on Mainavati Marg from 2020 crore, was a center of special attraction for investment. Apart from this, land was also sought from KDA for Chakeri New Business City and Bingawan Township.

International airport proposed in Unnao

There was also a panel discussion and digital presentation with the businessmen in the meet. In this, apart from developing the state capital region, it was proposed to build an international airport in Unnao. KDA VC told the investors that it has been prepared and sent to the government in the form of a vision. The blueprint for its construction has been drawn in the Nawabganj area. For this, 10 thousand hectares of land will be required.

Vice President of KDA Arvind Singh said that MoU has been signed for investment of 5500 crores. Many more investors have agreed in the meet that within two days they will get the MoU done after submitting the proposal on the Nivesh Sarathi portal.
