Virat Kohli in India vs Sri Lanka 3rd ODI: Indian team’s veteran batsman Virat Kohli has scored another stormy century against Sri Lanka. He thrashed the Sri Lankan bowlers on Sunday.

Team India’s ‘run machine’ Virat Kohli’s bat has once again caught fire. He has played a stormy century innings. Kohli scored an unbeaten 166 off 110 balls in the third ODI against Sri Lanka in Thiruvananthapuram on Sunday. He hit 13 fours and 8 sixes during his innings. He had completed hundreds in 85 balls. On the basis of Kohli’s strong batting, India scored a huge score of 390/5. Along with scoring a century, he also broke two big world records of great batsman Sachin Tendulkar.

Kohli has gone ahead of Sachin in terms of scoring the most centuries against any one team in ODI cricket. He has scored 10 ODI centuries against Sri Lanka while Sachin scored 9 centuries against Australia. Apart from this, Kohli has also beaten Sachin in terms of scoring the most centuries at home. This is his 21st century at home. At the same time, Sachin made 20 hundreds on the home ground. He is followed by Hashim Amla (14 centuries), Ricky Ponting (13 centuries) and Ross Taylor (12 centuries) in the list.

Kohli made two big partnerships

Kohli got a lifeline in his century innings, given by the wicketkeeper. Coming out to bat after Rohit Sharma (42) was dismissed in the 16th over, Kohli made two big partnerships. He added 131 runs for the second wicket with opener Shubman Gill (116). Kohli shared a 108-run partnership with Shreyas Iyer (28) for the third wicket and took the team past 300. Kohli shared a 30-run partnership for the fourth wicket with KL Rahul (7) after Iyer’s departure.
