In UP’s Ambedkar Nagar, the body of a milk-fed child was exhumed on the orders of the DM. In the presence of Tehsildar and family members, the dead body of the child buried at Surhurpur river ghat of Malipur police station area was removed from the grave and sent for postmortem. During this, the wounds of the father and other family members of the child were again fresh. His eyes became moist. Now the post mortem report will reveal the death of the new born baby. This action was taken in case of death during treatment in a private hospital.
On Wednesday, the newborn child of Pintu, a resident of Khandaura village of Powai police station of Azamgarh, died due to the negligence of Deepak Child Health Care Center Wajidpur. The victim’s family had given information on Dial 112 and lodged a complaint with the local police station to file a case against the hospital, but instead of registering the case, the police made a settlement. Saddened by the death of the newborn son, the family buried the body of the infant at Manjusha river ghat in Surhurpur of Malipur police station area.
On the second day, the victim’s father along with other family members approached the District Magistrate’s court to get justice for the dead child. On the orders of the District Magistrate, the police registered a case against Deepak Child Health Care Center and on Saturday ordered the post-mortem to be carried out by removing the dead body of the child from the river ghat. On Sunday, in the presence of Tehsildar Dharmendra Yadav and the family members of the victim, Kotwali and Malipur police dug out the dead body of the child from the river ghat and sent it for postmortem after doing panchnama.
The victim’s father accused the inspector
The victim’s father Pintu has accused Kotwali Inspector Ved Prakash Yadav of harassment. He told that the Inspector is threatening to implicate me in a fake case and send me to jail by helping the hospital operator to weaken the case. The relatives of the hospital operator are creating pressure. The victim’s father has demanded security from the District Magistrate.
