To get the next installment of Kisan Samman Nidhi, it is mandatory for all farmers to get KYC and land writing done. Thousands of farmers in every district have not yet done KYC. Lakhs of farmers in UP will not be able to get the next installment. In Ghazipur itself, four lakh 66 thousand 708 farmers have registered for Samman Nidhi. In this, EKYC of three lakh 90 thousand farmers has been completed for the 11th installment.
At present, Bhulekh marking of 76 thousand 575 farmers is done, but there is no EKYC. To take advantage of the next instalment, it is mandatory for farmers to get EKYC and Bhulekh marking done. The farmers on whose behalf Bhulekh marking and EKYC will not be done, those farmers will not get the benefit of this scheme. That means the next installment will not be available.
The beneficiaries are being verified by the Agriculture and Revenue Department. Bhulekh is being marked on the hard copy of the beneficiaries by the accountants of all tehsils. Whereas the farmers whose EKYC has not been done. EKYC of those farmers is also being done.
Aadhaar seeding of 1.58 lakh farmers not done
Farmers have applied to take advantage of Kisan Samman Nidhi. Farmers are being made aware to get Aadhaar seeding done by the Agriculture Department. Till now one lakh 58 thousand farmers have not got Aadhaar seeding done. Aadhaar seeding is mandatory to avail the benefits of Kisan Samman Nidhi.
Bhulekh marking of farmers is mandatory
Bhulekh marking work is being completed by removing landless and deceased farmers from among the beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi in the district. In this, marking one lakh one thousand 765 dead, landless people are being excluded from the list. On the other hand, the Bhulekh marking of the eligible beneficiaries is being done.
Income tax payers were taking funds
5152 farmers of the district were receiving Kisan Samman Nidhi even after paying income tax. Central government has discovered this by tagging Aadhaar with bank account. Its list was also made available to the department. Instructions were given to return the funds from the concerned farmers. Action has been taken by the department in this regard. Four crore two lakh 12 thousand rupees have to be recovered in this. Out of which Rs 50 lakh has been recovered so far.
22 thousand landless dead were also taking benefits
22 thousand ineligible beneficiaries have been found in the verification work of Samman Nidhi beneficiaries. There are 8,000 such farmers in this who were taking benefits of Samman Nidhi even after being landless. While 14 thousand farmers who were getting the benefit of the scheme have died. Now action will be taken to close their Samman Nidhi.
Along with the return of the money sent to the deceased, if their heirs are not getting the Samman Nidhi after marking in the Bhulekh, they will be given benefits as per the rules. Cooperation of banks is also being taken in this work by the Agriculture Department.
Agriculture Deputy Director Atindra Singh made it clear that farmers who do not get EKYC and Bhulekh marking done will not get the benefit of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. For this contact the farmer’s office and get the Bhulekh marking done. On the other hand, return the amount of income tax payer Kisan Samman Nidhi to the concerned bank.
