In view of the tour program of the guests coming from G20 countries, a notification has been issued to keep Taj Mahal closed for three days and Agra Fort for two days. The Taj Mahal is closed weekly on Fridays. For this reason Taj Mahal will remain closed for three days.
Earlier notification was issued to keep Taj Mahal and Agra Fort closed on February 12, but the Ministry of Tourism and Culture made changes keeping in view the tour program of the guests. Superintending Archaeologist Dr. Rajkumar Patel issued the order on Tuesday. It said that Taj Mahal and Fort will be closed for general tourists on February 11 and 12 due to the visit program of the delegation of G20 countries.
The Taj Mahal remains closed on Fridays. That’s why it will remain closed on February 10 as well. He told that in order to avoid any trouble to the common tourists, the notice of closure has been put on the website, so that tourists do not book tickets for these days.
