Selena Gomez recently revealed that she deleted the app from her phone in 2017 when she shared her social media account login credentials with her assistant.
The 29-year-old singer recently told Elle that she left social media to prioritize her mental health. She provides photos and references on social media, but does not currently post herself.
Gomez, one of the most followed users before, made the decision after considering the negative feedback he received from his social media app. “It felt scary for a long time,” he said, adding that everything felt “like something”.
Staying away from social media may have seemed difficult at first, but it soon created an international sensation when she learned to be “with herself.”
“I don’t have a cell phone, so there’s no temptation. I suddenly had to learn to be with myself. In the past, I was angry because I could spend hours watching other people’s lives. I’m on the feed and I’m like, ‘I don’t know this guy!’ Now we get the information right. Friends call me when they have something to say and say, ‘Oh, I did it.’ They don’t say, ‘Wait, did you see my post?’ Gomez added.
“Staying away from social media is a relief,” he said. “Suddenly it felt like it was there.”
Earlier, Gomez was also open to combat bipolar disorder. About the feeling of sharing my grievances with the public, he said, “It turned out that I felt a heavy burden. I could take a deep breath and go that way.
