The vehicle caught fire within a few seconds of overturning. In which Pant narrowly survived and somehow got out of the car. Pant was first treated at a private hospital in Roorkee after his injury. After this, after treatment for a few days in Dehradun, he is currently being treated in a hospital in Mumbai. He also underwent knee surgery at Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai.
