Good News: The scope of Bundelkhand Expressway will increase through two new links, Chitrakoot and Jhansi will be connected

Bundelkhand will get the gift of two more expressways. One expressway will be Chitrakootdham Link Expressway and the other will be Jhansi Link Expressway. Both of these will be connected to the Bundelkhand Expressway. With this new project, Jhansi and Chitrakoot, two major nodes of the Defense Corridor, will also be directly connected.

Recently, the Uttar Pradesh Industrial Development Authority (UPIDA) approved the proposal for the projects of these two expressways. A new expressway will be built from Bundelkhand Expressway via Garoutha (National Highway 27) up to Erch village. This expressway will be about 100 km long. Through this, the Jhansi node of the Defense Corridor will be directly connected. Many defense companies have shown interest for setting up their projects for this node. Through this, the Bundelkhand Expressway can be reached directly. Here the option of expressway will be available to reach directly from Jhansi to Delhi and Lucknow.

The second link expressway will be extended from Bundelkhand Expressway to Chitrakoot. Its length will be 25 km. The existing Bundelkhand Expressway starts from Bharatkup in Chitrakoot and reaches Etawah and connects to the Agra Lucknow Expressway. Now beyond Bharatkup, the Link Expressway will go up to the defense node of Chitrakoot.

In this way the Bundelkhand Expressway will connect six districts of Bundelkhand. A consultant company will be selected soon for its pre-feasibility study. This will become a DPR after the report of the company. In fact, UPEDA had suggested to the Chief Minister last September to build five new link expressways by UPEDA. On which the CM has agreed on these two for the time being. By the way, a plan has already been made to connect Bundelkhand Expressway with Prayagraj and Mirzapur. Work is going on on that also. Apart from this, Meerut Haridwar Expressway, Rampur-Rudrapur Expressway are also included in the proposed projects of UPDA.

According to Shrish Chandra Verma, Additional Chief Guardian Officer of UPDA

The Defense Corridor of Bundelkhand will be greatly benefited if both these links become expressways. People will be able to travel directly through them via the Bundelkhand Expressway. Now the work of selecting the consultant company for both the expressways is being done soon.
