Gasoline and diesel prices were reduced on Sunday by 20 pi per liter – the first reduction in petrol prices in a month, and the fourth within a week in the case of diesel. In Delhi, the price of fuel has been reduced to 101.64 rupees per liter and diesel to 89.07 liters.
The US Federal Reserve has said it will buy assets and hurt commodities and raise the dollar as international oil prices fall to their lowest level since May.
This is the fourth reduction in diesel prices since the start of the reduction cycle on August 18. The four discounts are 20 paise per liter. In the previous three cases, diesel prices were lowered and fuel prices remained unchanged.
Sunday’s drop in fuel prices came after 36-day tariffs. The price of diesel changed after 33 days without any change.
The freeze on tariff adjustments was in line with a parliamentary session.
