Gaming app addiction claims another youth’s life, pharmacy student commits suicide

Online gaming app addiction has claimed the life of another youth. On Tuesday, a BPharma student committed suicide by hanging himself in the hostel of Medical College, Panki, Kanpur. On the information of the control room, the police broke the door of the room and removed the body from the trap. After investigation, the police has sent the dead body for postmortem. Friends living in the hostel say that the student used to play cricket gaming app. Some money was also invested in it, which was drowned.

Ravi Prakash Trivedi, a resident of Brahmavali in Sitapur, is a farmer. His elder son Navneet has done B.Tech from Lucknow college. Younger son Vineet Trivedi (20) was studying BPharma second year in a college in Panki. Vineet had returned to the hostel after leave on Sunday. He did not leave the room on Tuesday.

The friends knocked on the door but got no answer. Warden was informed on this. When the police reached the spot on the information of the warden, broke the door, Vineet’s body was found hanging from the window of the room with the help of a sheet. The forensic team has taken possession of the student’s mobile after investigation.

Reached hostel eight days after leaving home

Ravi Prakash said that Vineet had left home on January 27 saying he was going to college but reached the hostel on Sunday i.e. February 5. The relatives do not know where he stayed for eight days. Although some friends have said that the deceased lives in Lucknow.

Talked to mother on Monday night

Student Vineet spoke to mother Suman on mobile on Monday night. During this, he had asked his mother to eat food on time. In the last conversation with his mother, Vineet did not mention any tension.

The next day i.e. on Tuesday till afternoon Vineet was called three times but his phone was not received. At one o’clock in the afternoon, the family members were informed about Vineet’s suicide on behalf of the college administration.

Was fond of playing online gaming app

According to college friends, Vineet was fond of playing cricket gaming app. He also used to invest money in online apps. Panki ACP Nishank Sharma told that playing online games has been discussed by the warden and some students.

It will be confirmed only after mobile investigation. Any result can be reached only after the forensic examination of the mobile. He told that the student committed suicide by hanging. No suicide note has been found from the spot. At the same time, the father has objected to the removal of the dead body and sending it for postmortem even before the relatives reach the college.
