In Lucknow, the exercise to provide free treatment near the home of the patients is in the final stages. From this month, patients will get treatment at the Health and Wellness Center. Its preparations have been completed. Officials have expressed hope of starting treatment facilities in the centers by the last week of January.
The National Health Mission (NHM) has given approval to open 108 health and wellness centers in Lucknow. The exercise of opening the center on behalf of the CMO is in the final stages. Centers will open all around the city. CMO Dr. Manoj Aggarwal said that one MBBS doctor will be posted in each centre. Interviews have already taken place for this. The result of the interview can be issued by 20 January. Apart from this, other paramedical staff will also be deployed. Community health officers will also be posted at each centre.
Doctor’s advice, check-up and medicine will be provided free of cost to the patients. Patients can also be referred to big hospitals from here. The CMO said that the patients would get treatment near their homes. Along with this, the pressure of patients from big hospitals will also reduce. In case of outbreak of infectious diseases, preventive action can be taken immediately. Centers are being opened on priority basis in sensitive areas for infectious diseases.
Train of patients in Health Post Center
Health post centers are being operated in the by-lanes of the capital. The center is operating from 8 am to 2 pm. In which free treatment is being provided to the patients. 50 to 70 patients are coming to each center daily. On Monday, 60 patients were seen in the center located in Mukarim Nagar, Daliganj. Dr. Asima, in-charge of the Health Post Center at Faizullaganj, said that medicines were provided to 62 patients after seeing them in the OPD. Dr. Gitanjali Singh, in-charge of Chitwapur center told that 50 to 70 patients are coming daily. Treatment is being provided from children to women.
