Sarfaraz Khan played a powerful inning of 125 runs on the first day against Delhi in Ranji Trophy. After this innings, Team India’s former fast bowler Venkatesh Prasad lashed out at the selection committee.
Team India’s former fast bowler Venkatesh Prasad has made such a tweet about Sarfaraz Khan, which is becoming very viral. Sarfaraz Khan is not able to make a place in Team India despite continuous strong performance in domestic cricket. On 17 January, on the first day of Mumbai’s match against Delhi in the Ranji Trophy, Sarfaraz scored an important inning of 125 runs. This innings of Sarfaraz in difficult circumstances proved to be very important for Mumbai. Only on the basis of this innings of Sarfaraz, the Mumbai team could reach the score of 293 runs. Recently, the All India Selection Committee of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the Indian squad for the first two matches against Australia. It was believed that Sarfaraz could be included in the team, but it did not happen. Venkatesh Prasad reacted sharply to Sarfaraz not being selected in Team India.
Sharing the video of Sarfaraz’s century, Venkatesh Prasad wrote, ‘Sarfaraz Khan not being in the Indian Test team despite three consecutive blockbuster domestic seasons is not only unfair to him, but it is an abuse to domestic cricket. It seems that this platform has no meaning at all. He is fit to score these runs and as far as weight is concerned, there are many other players of this weight.
Sarfaraz Khan was the best scorer from Mumbai. He scored 125 runs in 155 balls with the help of 16 fours and four sixes. Apart from him, no other batsman could even reach the figure of 50 runs. Prithvi Shaw scored 40 runs, being the second best scorer.
