Former Australia cricketer David Hussey believes Adam Zampa’s exclusion from the Border-Gavaskar series in India would have dealt a severe blow to the off-spinner’s Test ambitions. Hussey told ‘Sen Radio’ on Thursday, “He (Zampa) played a red ball shield match for New South Wales against Victoria before the Big Bash League started and he bowled very well in that.” ,
He said, “I think head coach Andrew McDonald and chairman of selectors George Bailey believed that he (Zampa) would be in the team going to India.” Would have been quite successful.
He said, “It is unfortunate that Adam (Jampa) has not been included in the team but personally I feel that if he had, he would have bowled very well. He is not much different from Anil Kumble who has been a great bowler for India for many years. ,
