Constable duped another constable of Rs 9 lakh on the pretext of getting a car

The constable of Dial 112 has accused a fellow constable and a young man of his identity of cheating of nine and a half lakh rupees in the name of getting a vehicle. The victim has registered a case against the accused at Chakeri police station.

According to Dial 112 constable Suresh Chandra, in the year 2020, a loan of Rs 11.5 lakh was taken from the bank to buy a vehicle. At that time constable Govind Singh was working with him as MDT driver in PRV 0417 of Maharajpur. Govind asked Suresh to get the vehicle from his known financier at a discount. After this Govind introduced him to Ajit Kumar Chauhan. He took nine and a half lakh rupees from Suresh, but even after 16 months, when he did not get the vehicle, he complained to ACP Crime Salman Taj Patil. He handed over the investigation of the case to SI Puneet Tomar. Investigator Puneet Tomar reached Govind’s TP Line quarter and found a new car and bike parked there. Both the vehicles were made to stand in the office of ACP Crime. After this Suresh was asked to give Tahrir.

Investigator asked to remove the name of the soldier

According to Suresh Chandra, the investigator asked the accused constable Govind’s name to be dropped. Along with this, another new car was also recovered from Govind’s home district. All the three vehicles were lodged in Naubasta police station as unclaimed. Till now the nine and a half lakh rupees given to Suresh have not been received. On this he complained to Police Commissioner BP Jogdand. Station in-charge Anjan Kumar said that on the basis of Tahrir, action is being taken against the accused constables Govind Singh and Ajit Kumar Chauhan by registering a case.
