The whole country is celebrating the birth anniversary of Saint Ravidas on Magha Purnima on Sunday. A crowd of lakhs of people has gathered at the birthplace of Ravidas in Varanasi. CM Yogi also reached here and bowed down to Ravidas. Leaders of Congress and other parties have also come here and paid obeisance. Meanwhile, while congratulating Ravidas on his birth anniversary, Mayawati has targeted the BJP and Congress leaders who reached the birthplace. Mayawati said that people of BJP-Congress are doing drama by going to the birthplace for votes.
BSP supremo Mayawati has extended heartfelt greetings to all the followers of the great saint Guru Ravidas, who gave him the immortal spiritual message of ‘Man Changa to Kathoti Mein Ganga’, while paying homage to him on his birth anniversary.
He has said that the ruling class should not only bow down to Saint Guru Ravidas for the sake of their narrow political interests, but should also take care of the interests, welfare and feelings of the poor and suffering followers, this would be a true tribute to him.
The BSP supremo said that if the teachings of Saint Guru were being implemented, the condition of the country would never have become worrying. In the BSP government, many works were done along with naming Bhadohi district after Saint Ravidas, but the name was changed in the Samajwadi Party government.
The BJP government, working on the same narrow mindedness, has not yet restored its name, he promised that it will be restored once the BSP government is formed.
He said that in the governments of Congress, BJP and other opposition parties, great saints, gurus and great men born in Dalit, tribal and other backward classes (OBC society) were always neglected. Now for the benefit of the votes of these classes, the people of the opposition parties, especially the BJP and the Congress, are going to their places and doing various dramas.
