Chaudhary Charan Singh University’s new initiative, food left over from the hostel will feed the needy

The food prepared for the students in the eight hostels of the Chaudhary Charan Singh University campus will now feed the needy. Apart from this, if the remaining food is not fit for use, it will be sent to the cowshed. This initiative of the university can become an example. Explaining the importance of food to the students, awareness will be made to not let the food go to waste.

it’s just trouble

As per the records of Chaudhary Charan Singh University’s website, there are eight hostels in the campus. There are more than 1500 students in all of them. All have mess facility. There are two types of problems regarding the food in the hostel. First, students take more food on their plates than they need and leave some of it for later. Secondly, if all the students for whom the food was prepared did not eat it, it is also saved. Chaudhary Charan Singh University is going to take initiative to stop this.

This is how the university will work

Vice Chancellor Prof. Sangeeta Shukla, while meeting with the warden and assistant warden, instructed to work on the minimum food left in the mess. The Vice-Chancellor also asked to run an awareness campaign by forming a club of students. In this, students will be motivated to take food in the plate at one go as per the requirement and to take food again if needed. The Vice-Chancellor said that the first effort should be to save at least the food and if still the food is left, then it should be taken to the Gaushala or the needy. The Vice-Chancellor also instructed to make proper arrangements for keeping flour, pulses and vegetables in the hostel.
