Ever since the target of housing in Sitapur came, the tussle between the chief and the secretary in Gondlamau block turned into a fight. It is alleged that the village head and his son, who were pressurizing their loved ones to get accommodation, beat up the village development officer and tore the government documents kept in the office. The Tahrir of the case has been given in Sandana police station, on which the police has started investigation. On the other hand, the employees have expressed their anger.
The case pertains to the development block Gondlamau office. Village Development Officer Alok Singh posted here has given a complaint letter against the head of Gram Panchayat Raghunathpur Harihar and his son at Sandana police station. It is alleged that the Pradhan and his son reached the office located in the block premises and forced their faces to be given the benefit of housing. When things did not work out, Pradhan and his son thrashed the village development officer while abusing them. On hearing the commotion, the people present on the spot rescued him. Government documents kept in the office by Pradhan and his son were also torn.
It has been told in Tahrir that the Pradhan’s son had earlier threatened to damage coffee while insisting on providing housing to his favorite ineligible beneficiaries. Whereas in Gram Panchayat, on the basis of the investigation of the committee nominated by the Block Development Officer, the process of giving houses is going on after registering the eligible beneficiaries. In the case, Station House Officer Sandana OP Tiwari told that Tahrir has been received. A case is being registered under relevant sections. Soon the accused will be arrested.
