Brother-in-law refused to touch brother-in-law’s feet in Tilak ceremony, procession returned

On Monday night, the Unnao procession went from Gandhi Nagar locality of Gangaghat Kotwali in Unnao, Uttar Pradesh. Where Tilak rituals were being performed after Dwarachar, meanwhile the girl’s brother refused to touch the feet of the brother-in-law. On which there was a dispute between Janati and Baratis. The matter reached the police station, still no solution was found. On which the procession returned to Shuklaganj without the bride.

Om Prakash, a resident of Ambedkar Nagar Mohalla of Gandhi Nagar, works in Saudi. His elder son Vinay lives in Mumbai and does a private job. Vinay’s procession went to a guesthouse in Unnao on Monday. DSN Road resident Sarju Prasad alias Rajak’s daughter was to be married to Soni. Tilak program started late at night after four o’clock. Meanwhile, his would-be brother-in-law, sitting in front of the groom Vinay, refused to touch his feet as part of the ritual. He said that there is an old relationship, so I will not touch the feet of the groom. Things got worse from there.

Relatives between the two sides tried to end the matter, but the matter kept getting worse. Police also reached the spot, still no one was ready to accept. The girl said that we will live separately after marriage. The boy was not ready. Eventually the procession returned.
