Android users who are interested in cryptocurrencies may come across some apps that simply post ads for revenue or trick users into subscribing to services with an average price of approximately $ 15 ( approximately Rs 1,100). These applications are pretending to be applications that can help in cryptocurrency mining, which has become very popular these days.
According to the discovery of Trend Micro, a multinational network security software company in the United States and Japan, there are eight malicious applications with malware and adware. In response to the findings, Google removed these applications from the Play Store. However, users who have previously downloaded these applications will need to delete them manually.
The following is a list of applications that have been identified as problematic:
- BitFunds-Encripted cloud mining
- Bitcoin Miner-Cloud Mining
- Bitcoin (BTC) -Cloud wallet for mining pools
- Crypto Holic-Bitcoin cloud mining
- Daily reward for bitcoin-cloud-based mining system

According to Trend Micro, two of these eight apps are even paid. The price of Crypto Holic-Bitcoin Cloud Mining is 12.99 USD, while the price of the Daily Bitcoin Rewards application is 5.99 USD.
To stay away from these fake encrypted apps, users are encouraged to carefully check the app’s comments section. Although initially the app can get some five-star reviews, users can get better ideas by reading negative reviews (3 times or less).
