After the arrest of two suspects belonging to terrorist organizations in Delhi and the recovery of hand grenade, alert has been declared in all the districts around Delhi. In view of January 26, a high-level security meeting is being called in Delhi, in which officers of all ranges will participate. Especially in West UP, there is an order to increase the alertness and activism of the police. Many terrorists have been arrested here in the past. ATS has also camped in West UP.
Two suspects arrested from Delhi’s Jahangirpur area and hand grenade recovered from Bhalswa Dairy. Since then vigilance has been increased in the adjoining areas of West UP, Haryana. West UP officials have been instructed to be on alert. In view of security in Delhi, there will also be a high level security meeting, in which range officers of all the surrounding states will be present. Here the officers of IB, Intelligence and other security agencies will be there. All inputs will be shared here. Instructions have also been issued by the government to keep extra vigil in the places where raids have taken place in connection with terrorist activities in the past.
Two airstrips in West UP
In West UP, there are airstrips at Hindon in Ghaziabad and Sarsawa in Saharanpur. Alert has been issued at both the places. Vigilance has also been increased at sensitive places. Instructions have been given to the police-administration to keep vigil in the places where CAA violence took place or where violence took place in the past.
Vigilance increased in Deoband, Muzaffarnagar and Meerut
Members of terrorist organizations have been arrested continuously in Meerut, Muzaffarnagar and Deoband. In Shamli, there were also terrorists who attacked the police and looted weapons in the past. In the action taken by ATS in the last few months, youths associated with terrorist organizations have been arrested in Saharanpur and Deoband. That’s why vigilance has been increased in West UP.
ATS activated
ATS has been put on alert in entire West UP. Here are instructions to the team to collect all kinds of inputs. The team of Intelligence Department has also been activated. Some officers have been deputed from Lucknow for monitoring, so that they can get information about suspicious activities. IB and intelligence agencies are also continuously monitoring.
Interference of Khalistani terrorists in West UP
The activities of Khalistani terrorists in West UP have increased continuously in the last few years. Arms have been supplied to them from Meerut in the last few years. Weapons supplied from Meerut and Ghaziabad were also used in the target killing of Hindu leaders in Punjab. This was revealed in the NIA investigation. Meerut IG Praveen Kumar says that on January 26, an alert has been issued in view of the security arrangements. There will be a meeting in Delhi, in which officers will participate. The police have also been asked to activate the informer system.
