Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) Vice Chancellor Prof. Pradeep Kumar Mishra has been removed by the Raj Bhavan with immediate effect. He is affiliated to Shakuntala Mishra National Rehabilitation University.

He has been affiliated to Shakuntala Mishra National Rehabilitation University. Vice Chancellor of Lucknow University Prof. Alok Kumar Rai has been given additional charge of AKTU. AKTU Vice Chancellor Prof. PK Mishra has confirmed the removal. AKTU Vice Chancellor Prof. PK Mishra had constituted an inquiry committee on February 1 on the basis of a complaint by the UGC and the Prime Minister’s Office. This complaint by Prof. Vinay Pathak’s work was done during his stay as Vice Chancellor in AKTU. Retired Justice of Allahabad High Court Pramod Kumar Srivastava was made the chairman of the inquiry committee. Before the inquiry committee even started its work, AKTU Vice Chancellor Prof. PK Mishra was removed from the post by the Raj Bhavan. It is believed that the Raj Bhavan considered it an indiscipline to get the complaint investigated by a retired judge and ordered action. Also because the complaint was old but the order for investigation was given on February 1. Pro. PK Mishra took charge of AKTU Vice Chancellor on 15 January 2022 itself.
On the complaint of AKTU, the Raj Bhavan had also ordered an inquiry
On January 30, the Raj Bhavan ordered an inquiry into the actions of the AKTU on a complaint. An inquiry committee was constituted under the chairmanship of retired High Court Justice SN Agnihotri. In the order issued by the Raj Bhavan, it was said that the alleged complaint made at various levels would be investigated. The Vice-Chancellor and the Registrar will cooperate in the investigation. It is believed that this action has been taken on the basis of the facts found in the preliminary investigation of the complaint.
Former Controller of Examinations had made allegations
In a complaint sent to the Raj Bhavan, Anurag Tripathi, who was the Controller of Examinations of AKTU, had alleged that the work was allotted to a new examination agency (firm) in the university without tendering it. It was also alleged that the agency, which was getting the work done for one year earlier, was not paid by the university. Due to which the concerned agency (firm) stopped the work from 17 November 2022. Due to this, students had to face inconvenience in result updation, marksheet printing and filling of examination forms.
