In the Yogi government, Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak unveiled the statue of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee in Bhadohi on Wednesday. During this, SP MLA Zahid Baig, considered close to SP chief Akhilesh Yadav, was also seen in the function along with Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak. The MLAs who reached the ceremony in red caps remained the subject of discussion. During this, MLA Zahid Baig praised Atal Bihari Vajpayee and also targeted the National General Secretary of SP, Swami Prasad Maurya, who gave a statement regarding Ramcharitmanas.
During this, SP MLA Zahid Beg raised the slogan of Atalji Amar Rahe and said that he is feeling proud to participate in the program of unveiling the statue. Atal ji always talked about uniting the people. Atal ji used to talk about following Rajdharma. Rajdharma should be followed by everyone. Today it is not being performed.
On the question of reaching the function with BJP leader and Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak, Zahid Baig said that always MLAs are called. I don’t know who goes and who doesn’t, but I have come here as a local MLA. Said that I have reached here in red cap only. Laughingly, he also said that seeing my red cap, many BJP people were eager to join the SP.
On SP’s National General Secretary Swami Prasad Maurya’s comments on Ramcharitmanas, the MLA clearly said that I do not agree with it. So far no one has openly expressed disagreement on the statement of Swami Prasad Maurya from the SP side. SP chief Akhilesh Yadav has also heated up the matter in the name of backward and Dalits by calling himself a Shudra on the same pretext. Akhilesh Yadav has also announced to raise the matter in the assembly session.
