Former veteran fast bowler Wasim Akram has now given his opinion on the issue of foreign coaches refusing to join the Pakistan team. According to a report in Pakistan Cricket, Akram said, “Foreign coaches will not come to Pakistan as everyone fears that their contracts will also end if there is a change in the board.” If a foreign coach is not available, then the services of a Pakistani coach should be taken.”

Arthur, 54, heads Derbyshire Cricket. The PCB said in a statement, “Arthur has a long-term deal with Derbyshire.” The board asked him to join but it could not be done due to various reasons.
