Under the Uttar Pradesh Judicial Service Civil Judge (Junior Division) Examination 2022, 79736 candidates have applied online for 303 posts. Means on an average 263 contenders will try their luck for one post. After a gap of four years, UPPSC had taken applications for PCS-J 2022 from candidates aged 22 to 35 till January 10 for the selection of judicial service officers in the state. Its preliminary examination is proposed on 12 February.

The commission had earlier started the recruitment process for 610 posts in 2018 which was completed on 20 July 2019. Since then the candidates were waiting for this recruitment. Many candidates also became overage. The Uttar Pradesh Judicial Service (Fourth Amendment) Rules 2022 was approved in the cabinet meeting in April 2022. According to the new rules, instead of the question paper of 200 marks in English language, there will be question paper of 100-100 marks in English and Hindi languages. A provision has also been made for four percent reservation for the physically challenged in the recruitment of judicial officers.

Result declared for two posts of direct recruitment

UPPSC has declared the result of two posts of direct recruitment on Thursday. Saurabh Anand Dubey and Zeeshan Anwar have got success in the interview held on January 18 for one post each of Assistant Professor Neuro Surgery and Assistant Professor Psychiatry in Government Medical Colleges.
